Energy service
An Energy Service Agreement (ESA) is a specialized contract that is typically based on the results of an en-ergy audit. It is aimed at achieving energy and operational cost savings through the implementation of tech-nical measures that promote energy conservation and efficiency.
In order to offer an ESA, we collaborate with a separate company that specializes in providing energy ser-vices. This company, also known as an Energy Service Company (ESCO), executes the contract at its own expense, or with the help of contractors and investors.
The format of an ESA assumes that the ESCO installs equipment at its own expense to help the customer reduce their electricity usage. The customer only pays for the electricity they use, and the difference between their previous electricity bills and their new bills after the installation of the equipment is charged to the ESCO.
The equipment remains the property of the ESCO for a certain period, as specified in the contract. During this period, the ESCO provides maintenance and support for the equipment. After the contract period ends, the equipment is transferred to the customer.
